There’s no better way to start your day than by having a good breakfast. And as far as I’m concerned, breakfast is probably my favorite meal of the day. You know from my instagram that I am always cooking and trying new recipes and a lot of people talk to me about the food that I make. Therefor, Vanessa and I wanted to present you some of my favorite morning food. And now that back to school is officially happening, I thought that I could give you a few of my favorite breakfast recipes that usually help me get my day started. Whether you like your mornings salty or sweet, you will certainly find something in this article that will make you enjoy your petit déjeuner even more.
CHOCO COCO BLUEBERRY YOGURT
1 cup of vanilla yogurt
1cup of fresh blueberries
1/4 of a cup of oats
1 tablespoon of flax seeds
1/4 of a cup of dark chocolate and coconut granola
I sprinkle some dried coconut on top of it
It doesn't really matter how you throw it in the bowl, as long as you mix it all together before you eat it. This SOOOO simple and perfect for weekdays or even to take on the go.
HAVARTI AND PEAR BAGELS
1 fresh sesame bagel
2 slices of creamy Havarti Cheese
1 medium yellow or green pear
Spread of butter or margarine
Salt n pepper
After you've cut and grilled your bagel you spread a little bit of butter or margarine on it. You place the slices of Havarti Cheese on it so it'll deliciously melt on tour bagel. Cut the pear in slices (not diced cause it wont stay on the bagel), place it evenly on top of the cheese and put a little little little bit of salt and pepper.
BABY BERRIES OATMEAL
1 cup of oats
1 tablespoon of flax seeds
1 cup of fresh raspberries
1 cup of fresh strawberries
Vanilla almond milk
For this recipe, I use normal non-flavored oats that I buy in a big bag at IGA. However, you can use whatever type of oatmeal you want, flavored or plain.
I put 3/4 of a cup of water for one cup of oats in a bowl and put it in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes (it all depends on how soaked you like your oatmeal). Once I took it out of the microwave, I simply add a splash of vanilla flavored almond milk.
After that, I top it with flax seeds and the berries and it's good to go.
AVOCADO AND PRUISCUIATO TOASTS
2 tick slices of bread (French or Belgian loaf)
1 medium avocado
A handful of cherry tomatoes
Basil
4 thin slices of pruiscuiato
Fresh chunks of Parmesan
Raspberry flavored balsamic glaze
Lemon juice
Salt and pepper
OK so this is one of my favorite things to eat in the morning or for brunch (or pretty much anytime of the day).
Start by putting your 2 slices of bread in the toaster. While it's toasting, smash an avocado in a bowl with lemon juice, basil, salt and pepper. Spread it on your toast and than add the pruiscuiato slices on each piece of bread. Top it with some fresh cut cherry tomatoes and a swirl of the raspberry flavored balsamic glaze (the none flavored ones will also taste delicious). Add your Parmesan and ENJOY
LAULAU's #NICECREAM
2 or 3 bananas
Almond Milk
Cacao
Peanut butter
Frozen fruits
It is a very simple recipe that one of my good (and vegan) friend @laurenceaubry gave me. Since I'm allergic to bananas, there's not a big variety of vegan nice cream and smoothie bowls left for me.
(Nice cream is a new trendy type of vegan "ice cream" that people love to have as a meal, especially for breakfast)
This one is very simple, all you need is 2 or 3 frozen bananas, a splash of almond milk. It’s important that you don’t put too much milk because you don’t want it to be too liquidy. Blend it until it becomes smooth, and than add some cacao. Keep blending. Top it with a few swirls of peanut butter and fresh or frozen berries, nuts and seeds. I promise, it will feel and taste just like ice cream in the morning.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this article and let me know if you ever try those recipes.
Love
Naomie
